Radiator replaced after total coolant loss, questions. 700 1992

IPD "recommends" that customers buy a lower pressure cap, which reduces their warranty returns on radiators. When I questioned them about this, they admitted that it was contrary to Volvo recommendations and not required by the radiator manufacturer. So use the stock Volvo cap, which keeps coolant from boiling out in hot conditions.
To clear codes, see the 700/900 fAQ under "features" button above.
The loss of coolant should be closely watched. The usual result of a sudden loss of coolant is a new head gasket.
Highly recommended to replace the heater hoses as well as the turbo oil cooler hoses as well.
