87 245 Turn Signal Nightmare 200 1987

Hello all-

Friday as I was driving home I noticed a peculiar problem with my 87 245. When I went to activate the turn signal, there came a loud fast buzz from inside the dash and the turn signals did not work (in either direction). I stopped and bought a new flasher, to no avail. Turns out the fast buzz was the flasher going at light speed. I am a little stumped as to what might be the cause of this problem. Oh, by the way, the hazard lights work perfectly.

If anyone has had this happen before or has any idea as to what it might be, the help would be greatly appreciated.
