Radiator replaced after total coolant loss, questions. 700 1992

HI MARK. first i am wondering how long your son drove the car when it overheated?.about the coolant,there might be air in the system,if the car still doing the same after bleeding the air try to put a black cap on and see what happens.about the check engine light,read the FAQ ( OBD DIAGNOSTIC CODES ),you can reset it yourself but remember that you have to read the codes first before reseting.sorry for my english.i hope that helps, good luck.charles.
