Yellow Peril - no start, plugs wet. MAP sensor??? 140-160 1973

I guess that pretty much says it. We wore out one fuel pump and plugged
one pre-pump filter with dirt from the tank. Looks like we musta got most
of it because the filter is now staying fairly clean (clear plastic before the
pump). Ben called up yesterday morning and said that the engine would not
idle. He was able to drive the car over here (3 miles) by keeping his foot
on the gas. Now, no matter what, the spark plugs are wet. I put in the only
other MAP sensor that has any chance at all of working and it does the same.
We pulled the injectors and they all work, but it seems like they are injecting
a LOT of fuel. (The cold start injector is not receiving current and does not
work.) Fuel pressure is at 30 psi and seems to be holding pretty well.
Do you guys think this is the MAP sensor, or is there something else
that could be causing this situation? Anybody got a D-Jet MAP sensor they
think works right and that they would make me a good deal on? A new one is
out of the question....
Thanks for any help you can give,
