Temp guage 700 1990

Have you tried giving it a tap and see if it 'wakes up' ? This is a common problem.

If that dosn't work (you might have to give it a hard knock) - check that the wire connection to the gauge sensor (the front-most sensor in the head - near the knock-sensor) is proper. If it is loose or disconnected you will get no reading.
