Clunk/creak noise when first stepping on the brake 900 1993

Hoping I can get some educated opinions on this noise. It happens only when I first step on the brakes pulling out of my driveway. It's kind of a "creaky clunk." The first one is the most noticeable, and there might be one or two lesser ones before it goes away.

My first guess was brakes, but I've had them apart and the sliders seem free and well-lubed. After doing some reading, I suppose it could be ball joints, but the car is quiet going over bumps and such, and the steering and suspension feel pretty tight for a car with 130k on it.

Has anyone else experienced this? It takes only a gentle application of the brakes to induce it, and there are no other symptoms other than the noise.

Thanks!
