loose interior door handle S90-V90

Yesterday the driver's inside door handle on my V90 sort of popped, and now it doesn't snap back to the closed position. It still works to open the door. My guess is that this is just a spring, but I want to get a sense of any impending doom as well as the cost and degree of difficulty to repair. I have never removed the door panel on this car, but there's a first time for everything. Thanks in advance.
