I am still having cold shifting problems after many tranny flushes including synthetic, and a valve body cleaning. All valves were in good condition as well as all balls. It now shifts at high rpms in all gears but it is incredibly smooth shifting manually.the The kick down cable has no effect. I am guessing that the govenor is faulty as the shift points are high. Do you have to support the rear of the transmission when the tail piece is off and the rear tranny support is gone or can I temporarily let it hang. Any and all info will help and be apprieciated. As an addcitional note the transmission rebuild kits are made for aw 70,71 and 72. 1990 740gle 16valve aw72L 147k miles
