Steering Rack Failure 900

Recently I noticed a vibration coming through my steering wheel during steady state driving. I figured that it would be bushing related because it did not transmit through the brake pedal like a warped disc. Also, it disappeared after the brakes were applied. Doing some unrelated work on the weekend I noticed a clicking sound when wiggling the steering wheel. Got under the car and checked the outer and inner tie rods - no play in them. Unfortunately there seems to be play within the rack itself. This could be felt while a friend wiggled the wheel back and forth. Looks like I may have to buy a new rack. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Thanks,
Don
