Whats the difference between a Lambdasond and an Oxygen sensor... 900

Whats the difference between a Lambdasond and an Oxygen sensor...
I have a 91 940 Volvo Turbo. Recently the Ctalytic Converter got plugged and the car barely starts and runs in Limp Home. The Air Mass meter is fine. I sense a failed O2 sensor . My question is:

(a) I notice a plugged tap in the line right before my Catalytic.

(b) No sensor immediately before or immediately after catalytic.

(c) Notice an Exahsut sensor on the exhaust manifold line right after the catalytic. Is it Lambda sond or O2?

(d) However it only has two wires and the plug looks nothing like the Bosch plug I see in parts Catalogs. Mine has round pins and not square blade bins like the Boschs shown in catalogs. Also mine has two wires and not three as shown in the Ctalogs.

(e) Whats the difference betwwen a Lambda Sond and an O2 sensor?

WHAT DO I REALLY HAVE? What do I need to order? Confused as all H___
