Could Loose Belts Cause Intermittent Stalling 700 1991

Hello all.

All three of my belts are loose and have been squeling like pigs for the past week or so. I was going to wait until the next oil change to tighten them up, but I started to have intermittent stalling two days ago. My question to you all is could loose belts cause intermittent stalling? Please also note that the stalling occurs more frequently if the AC is on. If the AC is off then it occurs with less regularity.

PS. I stop driving the car yesterday, due to the stalling and unsafe condition it causes, and will be tightening the belts up later tonight. I will also check to see if the harmonic balancer is seperating. The car has relatively new, ie. under two year old, Fuel Pump Relay, RPM sensor, Ignition Power Stage, Harmonic Balancer.
