Bosch electronic ignition 120-130

Phil,

I cracked open my Haynes last night. According to their schematics, it appears the models fitted with an Alternator rather than a Generator/Dynamo were equipped with the extra terminal on the ignition switch. That would make 4 terminals.

The diagrams with generator have 3 terminals and the armored cable is shown. It is not shown on the alternator diagram. In the version with 4 terminals, the power to the cigarette lighter is moved from terminal that also feeds the fuse panel, to the 4th one. There is another wire on the 4th that isn't connected to anything in the diagram. A mystery?

Can anyone with a 4th terminal verify if it's hot in the Run and Start position?

It seems everyone might have to take a little different approach to the conversion.
