93 940 wagon with intermittant dash light problems

Since my last post...... I needed a new battery, so after installation the gas guage seems to like to work all the time, but the check engine light, well....
first it was out (hurray) but within 6 miles it came back on again ????

The power door locks DO work. I thought the middle button on the driver door was for "unlocking" the doors, but in reality is for the operation or non-operation by the passengers in rear.

I've put in a can of fuel injection cleaner but the check engine just keeps coming on.

Anybody else seen this?
