White smoke at the Vatican is good news... What about on a Volvo 940 ??? 900 1991

White Smoke at the vatican means that a new Pope has been elected....
Now: white smoke coming out from a 940 SE Turbo Wagon probably means getting under the hood :-)
The car has 116000 miles, always serviced at Volvo every 5000mi.
Engine performs as new. Plenty of power, plenty of boost, no overheating, no strange noises.
SMOKE DESCRIPTION:
White, smelly, not vaporous but very persistent instead. Constant smoke at different RPMS. Not too much smoke... just a haze, kind of night club effect.
To my opinion is defenitely coming from oil, and not water. Most likely an internal oil leak in the Turbo (Garret water+oil) on the exhaust side.
I'll appreciate theories and ideas, I don't know much on turbos...
David.
