Road trippin' in Rover :) 200

Well, Rover and I did our first long-haul trip this weekend, drove the hour north to meet with some folks, then 5 hours south to the beach. I"m sure all of you know how much shit you can pile in an old 245. I had my camping stuff (tent, sleeping bag), and though I pack light, I had the cooler, the camping box and the dog crate. PLUS a 2x2 ft space for the dog. Then 3 folks decided that they needed to cram their stuff into Rover, including a down comforter and 4 sleeping cot pads, coolers, bookbags, etc etc etc. From behind the driver's seat to the back window it was filled from the roof to the floor - with the exception of the dog space. The poor car was squating in the back, but still made it down at 26mpg, 2 people, a dog a tons of stuff. I think it was the most comfortable road trip I ever took... too bad there's no cruise control!
