speedometer woe 700

Hi There,

I eventually found a used speedo that worked in my 1986 744. I have three gauge pods now.

I did notice that the speedo does need the pod to be grounded properly and all connections to the pod should be checked (possibly the body ground point discussed in the FAQ's).

There also have been some threads about 'seeing' the signal, but way above my head. A forum search may yeild something there.

A gauge swap is not that hard if you could find a known working donor for an afternoon. Maybe worth a try if this isolates the problem to the speedo itself.
