what fuel additives to put in gas tank 200 1989

hey brick nuts!

well, it's time to take my car in for the tranny swap this week. I have about 1/2 tank of gas in my car, and obviously I have not been driving the car. I am thinking about putting some gas additives with valve/injector cleaner into my tank. I went to pep boys and saw an array of gas add. which ones REALLY WORK and is SAFE for my engine? I have read some of you nuts mention pouring in a bottle of chevron techron. I noticed there are two types: one is just techron (I think) and the other has fuel injector/valve cleaner in it. does a bottle of techron really work? and will it make my fuel more "active" after sitting in my tank for about 6 months? thanks!

car is a 1989 245dl
