cut front springs, or buy lowered springs 700

I will be changing the shocks on one of my 745's shortly, in the past when doing this I had cut the springs 1/2 turn off the bottom. This time I would like to cut 1 full turn out, has anyone done this, and with what effect? I would prefre not to buy new lowered springs as I am willing to put up with a harder ride. Any suggestions?

Merci

Yvan
