Shocks? 200

Avoid Monroes if you possibly can!!! And don't get sucked in by "Shocktober Buy 4 get one free" promos either, they just aren't worth it, at least on 240s. They might work okay on a Crown Vic...maybe. And Monroe redesigned them to suck even more than they did before, as if that was even possible. It's hard to put into words just how bad they really are. Pay a little, curse a lot. Ask me how I know. (I went so far as to write Monroe telling them what I thought, but oddly I never heard anything back from them.)

Anyway, if you want something relatively inexpensive I would suggest something like Boge, which is what the OEM Volvo shocks are. I have used Boge (Turbos) before and was happy with them. pleased. You might save some money by going for a full hydraulic shock instead of gas-charged without sacrificing much in the way of ride or control.

But then what do I know. I'm the guy driving with Monroes concentrating hard to keep his brick between the painted lines until I can afford real shocks. Let us know what you decide on and what you think about them.
