Cracked dashboard....how to fix? Help!! 200 1989

This is a topic I haven't seen in a long while. We all have this common problem;I guess it's because the dash is ..........black Duh.

My dashed is cracked, not to bad, but it's still bugs the hell out of me. I can't remember any prior posts suggesting how to fix this problem. Should I go to my local high priced autobody repair shoppe'and ask? I don't want to be blind-sided by his mile high quote or maybe, I can use one of those extra cheap looking shaggy dashboard covers.

Do you think it can be repair in place or do I need to pull the dash out?
Do you think they can add one of those little VW bug type flower bud holders?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Maya
