HOLY SMOKES! radio wiring question(s) 900 1995

I Have a 1995 940 Wagon. I purchased the car with the radio missing. There is a cluster of wires of which I would like to have identified before I proceed installing a Volvo TD-6141 with Volvo 4 CH Amp HA-4111 from a 1987 Volvo 740. The wires on the 940 wagon which feed into the radio reciever cabinet on the dash were cut (radio was stolen), so no plugs etc. remain.
In my initial attempt to trace these wires, I found that the red and green wires (three of them) on the '95 940 are live with the key off. I realized this as I accidentally ground one of them out. Sadly, now they are not live. They evidently do not go through the fuse panel, as all the fuses are still fine - but the wires no longer have power to them.
Regardless, If I could find info identifying the wires on both the car and the stereo I would certainly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!
