home carb rebuilding? 120-130

I just scored a spare set of HS6 carbs off of a parts car. Finally a set which I don't require to run my engine on!

So... I'm kind of eager to take them completely apart and learn everything about them I can by tearing 'em down and putting 'em back together. Is there anything I should be forewarned about? Could I potentially do any damage from lack of experience? Will new gaskets and little replacement parts and screws be difficult to find?

Thanks All!
