Transmission fluid flush in my 760T... can I use the top hose going into the radiator? 700 1987

I have completed a replacement of my kickdown cable and I thought I'd flush the tranny fluid at the same time.

but I am afraid of using the top connection to my transmission cooler...

it looks different than other vehicles I've flushed...

mainly the line hooks to a rubber hose which goes in front of my radiator somewhere .. then another hose comes from that same front location and into the top connection of my radiator.

Can I disconnect the hose to this top radiator connection and attach my clear hose (to flush the fluid into a bucket from) there?

thanks,

jack
