Cup-Holder: Expert Needed 900

Dear Fellow Brickboarders,

May this find you well. I just put in a used cupholder, the sort that fits on top of the storage bin, between the front seats.

Problem: when I lift the lid, the rear cup-holder slides out.

Is there a "catch" to keep it in place?

If so, what does this look like and where is it/should it be mounted?

How does one remove a cup-holder section (i.e., the front or the back) from the lid?

If the cup-holder section cannot be removed from the lid, is there any effective fix, to keep the rear cup-holder section in place, when I lift the lid?

Thanks for your help. I'm much obliged.

Yours faithfully,

spook
