1990 740gl radiator upper neck showing signs of cracking

anyone play with repairing the plastic neck on the radiator end tank...noticed the other day some very small 'crows feet' where the neck forms to the side tank body...even though i'm able to purchase parts at cost i'm always willing to explore my own low cost-no cost fixes......i'm figuring the plastic is just becoming weak & brittle from years of heat & vibration...any takers ???
