Siphoning gas out of the tank 200

I'm trying to get some year old gas out of my 84s fuel tank. I also have an 84 parts car that I drained the fuel out of with a siphon. The siphon went into this ones tank pretty easy, but I can't get the siphon into the other 84 or my 89. Are there different filler necks, or an anti theft screen or something? The necks look the same on all of them. Any tricks or suggestions about how to get the fuel out of this tank.? I guess it could use the intank pump to pump it out, but it would be much easier to siphon it.
