easy add on traction for snow 200

I can not seem to get the correct search combo for this while looking in the archive. As a last resort I throw this to you all.

I have recently moved to a higher elevation on the east cost. The temp is dropping and frozen precip is pending. The roads will be clear 80 % of the time. For the other 20% what add on fixture would do the trick? It has to be able to handle non frozen surfaces as well as frozen. I do not expect nor want my wife to be throwing chains on while on the side of the road. she will be doing most of the commute in inclement weather. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of a device that was multi surface friendly?
Thanks in advance,
Joe
