Caliper slider pin tolerance 91 Girling front brakes 700 1991

I find this on both my Bricks (91-740T & 940T wgns)Girling ABS, 1 live piston calipers.
I have to check/free up the sliders spring & fall. The salt plays hell w/ them.
I was hoping that someone knew what the clearance/side to side play/fit tolerance was between the slider pins & the brake carrier bores?
New boots & pins & lots of lube still don't seem to let my rotors live very long.
I get at best 20K km on new rotors & pads then they are pretty ugly.
The hubs are new & true. The problems seem to start after I notice brake shuddering. I check the pins & yes there is always a tight one. Up until the finding of a tight pin there are no problems. The conical bushings (front of strut link)are tight & in good shape. The cars are used as commuters, no spirited driving.
Any help would be appreciated.
