? CHK ENG Light On - What to Do? 200

I bought a nice 93 240 yesterday. As luck would have it, the alternator of the car (a 90 240) we drove to pick up the new car failed right in the dealers parking lot. The up side was that the dealer had a new regulator/brush set on hand. The down side was that we used the new car to jump the 90 and now the CHECK ENGINE light of the 93 is on. The jumper leads were NOT crossed nor shorted and my wife dutifully held the revs of the 93 at 3000 rpm's while the old car was being jumped. Can anyone advise me on how to proceed to figure out the cause of the Check Engine light being on?

Thanks one and all,

Rich
