Lockup button problem, 945, 1994 900 1994

I have a 945, 1994 with an automatic transmission AW 71.
I have recently fixed the lockupbutton on this car and everything has been working alright for about 2 months.
But today when i was out driving and shifted between park and drive it started to light up the arrow in the instrument panel and the lockupbutton stopt working. Ewerytime when i move the shifter front and back it turns the arrow on and off.
I think the problem might be in the wiring in the gearshifter.
My question is how do i remove the gearshifter to get acces to the cabel and button?

Thanks in advance for any inputs
