It worked on mine. I used Sachs Advantage strut inserts. However, the tool wouldn't quite fit over the top of the strut center shaft. The shaft has two flat sides at the top to hold with the special tool. I had to file the flats a bit to get the tool to fit over so I could hold the shaft while tightening the nut.
