a sick wagon 200 1987

To all fellow Bricksters
I am having a problem with my 87 240DL wagon. Normally it runs great, but a few months ago it would bog down like it had a bad fuel filter. I would turn it off for a minute or two then it will run great for a 1000 miles or so befor it did it again. When it got to the point of doing it once or twice a week I changed out the fuel filter. Worked for two weeks then it did it again. I changed out the fuel pump in the tank. I drove about 500 miles when it started again and almost left me stranded 150 mile from home. While driving it will lose all power. It will still idle but if I put it in gear it will stall. Only after turning it off for 15 minutes will it run again. Now it is bogging down within the first mile I drive it and it is taking more then 15 minutes to run again.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do.
