Is It Possible 700 1986

Hello I have the above car, it is an estate.

I posted some time back about adding rear electric windows as mine are manual, and some thought it may be possible and that the wiring connector may be at the bottom of the central door pillar where the seatbelts come out.

I removed the panel and the lower one and there was only two grey connectors all occupied with wires. I was expecting to see a spare ready to plug in the new window motors.

The main square connector had wires as follows

Top of connector leading to door wiring

1 sleeved red with red/white wire.

1 red and green wire.

1 red and blue wire.

1 black and white wire.

bottom connector wires as follows.

1 red wire

1 red and blue.

2 red and white.

1 black and white

1 red and green

This bottom connector wires also links to another small connector.

Are any of these wires also for the electric windows or is there another connector anywhere. The drivers door window switch has connectors underneath there ready to connect for rear window motors. Are the rear windom motors powered from the front main drivers switch.

Is there any other way to wire the rear window motors and switches so that it works.

I phoned volvo and they didnt really know. Many thanks James.
