Paint stamps/markings on new tires 900

I just bought 4 new Goodyear tires, and each of them has two stamps(markings) on the sidewall, about 1/2 inch diameter (made with something that looks like white paint), on them, fairly close to each other. One looks like a large "A", the other is a circle with something unreadible inside. Does anyone know why these are stamped on the tires? How do I remove them ? Thank you.
