Alignment after replacing ball joint? 200 1988

BB,

I just replaced a ball joint on my 1990 240. I found reference on BB on how to position (push in toward the motor)the strut before tightening the three large bolts attching the ball joint to the control arm, but found no refernce to alignment. Is it necessary to take it in for an alignment after replacing a ball joint?

Also, do you replace the 4 12mm strut anchor bolts like it says in the Bentley? I had a dealership tell me that this was not necessary, but that seemed strange since it is found in Bentley in two different places.
