93 960 won't start after installing new catalytic converter 900 1993

I have a 1993 960 sedan with 93000 miles. Austin Vol-Tech told me that the cat had a rust hole in a downpipe. They quoted $1000 + tax to install a new one. I ordered an after-market one from FCP Groton for $295. The new cat was a little shorter than the original. Meineke fabricated an extension that I inserted into the tailpipe and the cat was finally installed.

This car was on front jackstands only for about a day. I then decided to put the rear up also, to see if the exhaust fit would change.

When I attempted to start the car, it coughed once, but didn't start.
I charged the battery, no improvement.

I have no manuals, so I purchased an Alldata subscription.
I checked the fuel pump by pulling fuse 23, turning the ignition on, touching the fuel line into the fuel pressure regulator and reinserting the fuse. I felt movement in the line. To double check, I go under the car and listened to the fuel pump as someone turned the key. I heard it come on.

I checked the spark plugs by pulling the number 1 coil and plug and layed them on a camshaft cover while someone turned the key. I saw a small spark.

I disconnected the MAF sensor and attempted starting with no effect.

I checked the MAF sensor resistance on connectors 2 and three from the right and saw 3.4 ohms. Alldata says 2.5 - 4 is within specs.

The ignition relay test socket at rear of engine shows 12 volts.

The fuel tank is almost full.

I just tried starting it again. It sounds like it wants to start.

How do I tell if the fuel injectors are working? Do I need to pull the spark plugs?
