No dual round headlights in Europe? 200

Did any of the European Volvo 240s have dual round headlights?

According to the (American) 240 headlight FAQ, the V6s got them in 1976 and 1977, all 4-cylinder 4-doors got them in 1978 and '79, and the DLs got them in '80.

However, I'm pretty sure that guide only applies to the American cars. This Dutch and Swedish 240 site, which is the most extensive site on 240s I've seen, does not show pictures or mention cars with dual round headlights for the appropriate years. The companion pages, for the '81-'85 front ends and the '86-'93 front ends, plus the V6 headlights and grilles, also show no dual rounds. Was this a US-only style of headlights? Does anyone know why?
