86 240 Wiring Question (related to 'no start' thread) 200

I have the following three red wires coming from my positive battery terminal:

1. Large wire (cable) connected to the starter.

2. Wire which includes the infamous "15 amp" LH fuse.

3. Similiar sized wire connected to a junction strip with three red wires and one blue wire leading off into the harness (I beleive from the schematic that these are going to a)headlamp realy b)ignition switch c)fuse panel)

I notice that this last wire which is pretty heavy gage is almost broken right at the battery with only a couple of wire strands still intact.

Any opinions on how important this last wire is and what effect it's condition could have? Could this be related to my "no start" condition?

Cliff
