Hood hinges 700 1989

I have an '89 765t, and one of the hood hinges is bent making it very difficult to open the hood. I plan on getting one from the parts yard to replace it, but I can't figure out the best way to take one off. My question is: How the heck do I remove the hinge without the spring injuring me?

Thanks for your help!
