Had the same thing happen to mine a year or two back, had to replace the entire handle and have it painted to match the car before the reinstall.
If I remember painting was around 80 bucks along with labor for putting it back on and the door handle around 45 or so. Have the back drivers door down now and I'm going to live with it for awhile and take it down when its warmer and see if theres anything that can be done besides the last fix.
