240 Will Not Start 200

I drove my 1991 240 one mile and shut it off for a few minutes. When I tried to start it again, it would not start. The next day I put a couple of gallons of gas in the tank because it was low on gas and it still would not start. The following morning I tried it again and it started immediately. It ran fine the next day and then, yesterday, I drove it for one mile, shut it off, and I cannot get it started again Could this be vapor lock? My mechanic has already replaced a corroded fuel relay and cleaned up other items under the hood. Does anyone have any thoughts on this problem? I think it is a fuel system issue. Thanks for any suggestions.
