Hmm... sounds sorta odd. Hard to pinpoint from afar, but I'd first check the oil in the dashpots to be sure theres some in there, and check for a vacuum leak...

Does it idle on all four? Is the idle speed normal as in not too fast? It *does* have SU carbs and not a weber, correct? If you've got a weber on there, thats where I'd be looking.

Sorta sounds fuel related to me. I've been having similar frustrating problems (all with various webers), so I got a 240. I'll deal with the others later...
