92 244 Stalls out around 70 MPH 200 1992

My 1992 244 runs solid, but when i was driving the other day, i hit around 70-72 mph, and the gas pedal just died, but the engine didnt fully stall until i had pulled over on the side of the road at a stop.

I just recently replaced the fuel pump/filter (as in a month ago) and put a rebuilt ECU in like a year and a half ago... the car has been great otherwise.

I was thinking fuel pressure regulator? Maybe a fuel check valve? What i dont get is why this NEVER happens unless im doing high speeds (highway driving). What i mean is that the car always starts strong, and runs well until i hit the high speeds.

Any info would be great, thanks much.
