Bulb failure light intermitantly flashes with headlights off 200 1992

Occasionally when the headlights are off and the left direction indicator is on the bulb failure light flashes - however all of the bulbs seem fine. When the headlights are on the and the direction indicator is activated, everything is fine. This happens for a couple of days and then goes way.

Maybe a bulb is on the edge of blowing and slight variations in voltage/current trigger the bulb warning?
