Stalls while in traffic, Fuel Relay already replaced. 200 1989

I am the proud owner of a 89 240 Wagon with approx 250k on it. Until recently the car ran perfectly, however lately the car has taken to stalling in the most inopportune times.

I took it to my mechanic and replaced the original Fuel Relay. After that the car ran fine for about two months. Then one day it wouldn't start after I had run a quick errand. Cranked but wouldn't catch. Shuddered and coughed. I let it sit for a few minutes (30) and then it started fine. Drove great for a day or so, then, on the freeway on the way to a T-day feast, car shuddered and died suddenly. waited a few minutes and it started again. Never the less, not wanting to risk the hectic traffic, had it towed.

based on what I've read this sounds somewhat familiar...AMM or ECU?
any other ideas? Repair Estimates? Hours to fix? I love this car, but not sure how much I can afford to put into it...are there other common problems coming up that I should know about or can this Brick reach 300K?

Thanks
