Variable intermittent wipers 900

Has anyone ever attempted to modify the windshield wiper relay to create an adjustable intermittent wipe delay. I did this on a Toyota once but never got around to trying it on my 245T. Now I've bought a 945T and it still has only one frequency of delay and I figure I'd better do it sooner than later this time.
