K-jet idle that won't stay put 200 1989

I have an 89 volvo not a 200 series but a 700 with a B230E. Seeking for advise from the k-jet gurus here.

Base idle for a B230E according to the manual is 900rpm. I had my TB and auxillary air valve cleaned more than 6 months ago. Idle set at about 800 rpm with it going up to nearly 1000 with the air cond on.

Gradually and this is over a month or so the the idle would drop from 800 to maybe 500-600 and I had to adjust it up again using the black idle screw. Same thing would happen again a few months later. Otherwise the idle speed is steady as a rock. Mind you I don't have a tachometer so this is all just eyeballing the rpm counter in the dashboard.

Any ideas? I'm afraid one day I'll totally unscrew the whole black screw out.

Many thanks in advance

Aslan
