B20 crank markings 1800

I am comparing the markings on 2 cranks for B20s. One, from engine 4969-13-788 (no idea of its year or origin) is the one I am rebuilding for the 1800, and there is a "B" marking on one of the crank lands on Number 4, and on number 1 is stamped "390". The other B20 crank I have has the letter "L" and the number "552" marked in similar locations.
Is there a way to identify each of these cranks as to year of issue or model? The nominal journal measurements seem to be identical.
Finally, is this anything anyone should care about, or am I asking really foolish questions?
