In another thread I had a picture of the badges, and ideas about mounting them. Someone sent me a thread of how another guy did it with five washers and some screws & nuts.
I thought I could do it a little more cleanly, so I bought a couple of toilet mounting bolts and cut them off to be just long enough to attach through the grille. Then I roughed up the backs of the badges and bolts with a Dremel so the JB Weld could bite into something.
Then I mixed up some JB Weld and stuck the bolts 1" apart to the back of the badges so they would go into the grille slots. I was gonna use JB Kwik but I didn't have any, so I used the good stuff that takes like 15 hours to cure. I set it on a heater in our kitchen overnight to speed up the process.
This morning I brought the grille inside because it was snowing and freezing outside, and bolted the badges to the grill. Then I went out, put the grille on and took some pictures. I suppose painting the hardware black would make it nearly invisible, but since the bolts are so close together they are hard to see behind the badges. The other method I saw had washers visible behind the badges. JB Weld has worked for me in the past, and it should hold fine. You could use just one bolt per badge, but if you lost a nut it would be gone. This way if I lose a bolt I'll be able to see the badge sliding before I lose it.
