need help with rpm sensor plate alignment 700

thanks for the input I think im close here but let me double check by giving alittle more info.the motor is from an 87 240 automatic with no rpm sensor and the converter plate is from an 89 with the rpm sensor.both are bosch systems. i shouldnt have a problem.what i do end up with is the blank space at nine o clock .but no matter how i turn the plate on the crank i cant quite get the eight thirty location shown in the attatched picture. any further gentlemen?I greatly appreciate your help.
